System Types Brief Description
Analogue Systems
Analogue CCTV cameras are the first generation of CCTV cameras with the transmission of the image through a coaxial cable to a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and the resolution is defined in TV lines (TVL). Depending on the type of CCTV camera, they can be either used during the daytime or at night. At night, the CCTV cameras would use infrared light to illuminate an area.
IP Systems
The image quality of megapixel IP cameras are of superior quality to those produced its predecessor, the analogue camera. The images from these cameras, depending on the network set up and client network policy, have the capability to be viewed remotely by using its IP address. IP cameras come in 2MP, 4MP, 5MP, 6MP, 8MP and above.
Day/Night Cameras
Infrared security cameras have the capability to capture video in low light and no light (0 Lux) areas. Infrared cameras (IR) are sometimes referred to as IR cameras or "Night Vision Security Cameras" because of this. Infrared cameras have IR LEDs positioned around the outer edges of the camera lens which gives the camera its "Night Vision". (Black & White Image At Night)
Full Color Cameras
Cameras with FULL COLOR TECHNOLOGY provide maximum protection against image loss in ambient light conditions. Cameras provide a clear color picture even in a situation of the complete absence of external lighting
